For 4 years Pâtisserie Plus Abidjan has been baking for celebrations in and around Abidjan, working at every scale from a family gathering in a courtyard to five-tier centrepieces. Every cake is made to order in small batches — no freezer stock, and the flavours are chosen at the tasting rather than off a card. Nothing is templated, because no two celebrations want the same thing.
A tasting covers flavours, tiers, dietary needs and how the cake is displayed, so nothing important is decided on the day itself. Every booking includes a tasting box, a sketch of the finished cake and delivery set up on site. Questions are answered in writing, changes to the plan are normal and cost nothing before the event, and you always know who will actually be there on the day.
