Ubuntu Lens Studio works out of Johannesburg and has spent 4 years photographing celebrations, from small private bookings through to four-hundred-guest receptions. Coverage is documentary first — the room as it happens, not a queue of posed set-ups. The approach starts with what your day actually is, not with a package that has to be talked into fitting it.
A pre-shoot call covers the timeline, the family groups that matter and the light at your venue, so nothing important is decided on the day itself. Every booking includes a private online gallery of fully edited images, usually within three weeks. Questions are answered in writing, changes to the plan are normal and cost nothing before the event, and you always know who will actually be there on the day.
Ubuntu Lens Studio operates from Johannesburg and travels nationwide, works in fr / en and takes bookings from 580 000 ZAR. Enquiries are answered within 3h with an itemised written quote rather than a range. Popular dates — spring and end-of-year Saturdays especially — are typically gone eight to twelve months out.
